One Month After, Soludo to Hold Another Town Hall Meeting with Ndi Anambra

The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo (CFR), will, today, July 20, 2023, hold a momentous Town Hall Meeting with indigenes of Anambra living in Abuja.

Coming up barely one month after that of Lagos State, the event, scheduled for 6.pm on Thursday, is expected to bring together a diverse cross-section of Ndi Anambra residing in Abuja.

Chaired by Sir (Dr) Emeka Offor, the highly anticipated Town Hall Meeting will take place at the prestigious Bolton White Event Centre, situated at 31 Kigoma Street, Wuse Zone 7, Abuja.

According to a press statement issued to newsmen by the State Commissioner for Information, Mr Paul Nwosu, all the invited guests to the said Town Hall Meeting are kindly expected to be seated by 5:30pm to ensure a timely start to the proceedings.

This reporter, Izunna Okafor, gathered that the Town Hall Meeting aimed to facilitate an open exchange of views and ideas between Governor Soludo and the attendees, providing an avenue for discussions on matters of importance to Ndi-Anambra and addressing their concerns. The event also holds immense significance as it enables the Governor to actively engage with the diaspora community, fostering a stronger connection between the state government and its citizens residing outside Anambra.

The Anambra State government, in its commitment to promoting citizen participation in governance, has organized this Town Hall Meeting to actively involve the diaspora community in shaping the state’s future. Ndi-Anambra in Abuja will have the opportunity to voice their opinions, offer suggestions, and contribute to the development agenda of the state.

In an interview with this reporter, an indigene of Anambra State resident in Abuja, who said though he was not invited to the Town Hall Meeting, highlighted the importance of the upcoming event and commended the proactive involvement of the diaspora community in advancing the state’s growth.

Underscoring the significance of same Town Hall Meeting the Governor recently had with Anambra indigenes resident in Lagos, the native who begged not to be mentioned, described the proposed Town Hall Meeting as a significant milestone in strengthening the relationship between the Anambra State government and its diaspora population, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose in the state’s development.
