The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful in Anambra State and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Kabir celebration.
In a goodwill message issued by the Governor, he described the Islamic festival as a deeply symbolic period that reflects obedience to God, selfless sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the greater good of humanity.
Governor Soludo urged members of the Muslim Ummah to use the spiritual significance of the season to intensify prayers for lasting peace, national unity, and accelerated development across the country.
He further encouraged acts of charity, sharing of festive meals, and the promotion of tolerance among citizens of diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds, stressing that peaceful coexistence remains essential for national stability and progress.
The Governor also reaffirmed his administration’s continued commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of all residents of Anambra State, irrespective of religion or background, noting that the state remains committed to ensuring a secure and peaceful environment where everyone can freely observe their religious obligations.
He added that the Soludo-led administration will continue to strengthen policies and security measures aimed at sustaining harmony and protecting all communities within the state.
Governor Soludo, therefore, wished the Muslim Ummah a joyful Eid el-Kabir celebration, praying that the blessings of the season bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to all households.
