In what has been popularly condemned as one of the most heart-wrenching criminal acts and shows of moral depravity in recent times, suspected kidnappers in Anambra State have allegedly killed a young boy after he refused their demand to s3xually assault his own sister.
The h0rrific incident, which has sparked off a chain of reactions on social media, was brought to the limelight by human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, who shared the information on his official Facebook page.
According to Gwamnishu, the boy and his two sisters were abducted by armed men whose identities are yet to be confirmed. However, when the children’s family was unable to meet the ransom demand, the abductors allegedly resorted to unimaginable cruelty, one of which was ordering the boy to def!le his his sister.
It was, however, gathered that the boy refused to commit the incest, which angered the kidnappers, who then executed him in cold blood after attacking him with machete.
This was corroborated by a video currently trending on social media, showing the sister of the slain boy recounted their ordeal. In the video, she identified their abductors as suspected Fulanis and narrated how they struck her brother with a machete after he refused to obey their wicked instruction.
“This is more than a crime; it is a wake-up call,” Gwamnishu wrote, adding that “No child, no woman, no citizen should live under the shadow of such terror.”
While the incident has continued to drawn reactions and condemnation from Nigerians on social media, with many describing it as a barbaric; Activist Gwamnishu, in his post, also called on government authorities, security agencies, and community leaders to unite in dismantling kidnapping networks, intensifying patrols in vulnerable areas, as well as ensuring swift and uncompromising justice for all victims.
Efforts by this reporter, Izunna Okafor, to get the confirmation and reactions of the Anambra State Police Command on the incident proved abortive, as the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, was yet to respond to questions sent by the reporter, as at the time of this publication.
