SFC, Others Endorse Soludo for Second Term, Donate N30 Million Support for a Start

By Izunna Okafor, Awka

The members and the leadership of the Soludo Fan Club (SFC) have officially endorsed the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for a second term in office, as they declared unwavering support for his re-election bid and presented a N30 million financial support as a starter fund towards the campaign.

This groundbreaking endorsement and symbolic presentation took place at a mega rally organized in Awka, the state capital, by the All Soludo Support Groups (ASSG), comprising the Soludo Fan Club and about sixty other passionate and grassroots-rooted support groups that believe in the Soludo vision and governance.

The well-attended rally saw the members of the support group beautifully adorned in their elegant and shiny wears, radiating joy and optimism, while waving placards, banners and chanting solidarity songs that echoed across the venue — all in celebration of what they described as the dawn of a new era under Soludo’s Solution Government.

Speaking at the occasion, the National Convener of SFC, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka, who electrified the atmosphere with praises, lauded the exceptionality of the Soludo Administration, which, he said, has restored confidence among residents and placed Anambra on a trajectory of sustainable development and future-focused progress.

According to him, the Governor’s vision of making Anambra a livable and prosperous homeland is already bearing visible fruits while the state continues to witness new transformative initiatives that touch various sectors, and which permeate down to every nook and cranny of the state — from rural roads to digital economy, from smart urban planning to quality education.

The SFC National Convener, who is also the State Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, lauded the governor for delivering impactful projects across sectors, especially in power and water resources, roads and other infrastructure, education, health, economy, and environmental management, among others, noting that such strides are truly reshaping Anambra’s socio-economic landscape and restoring the pride of Ndi Anambra across Nigeria and beyond.

He added that the Governor’s kinetic and non-kinetic security initiatives, especially the recent launch of Operation Udo Ga-Achị, as well as the current feats so far recorded in the security landscape of the state, have also complemented the good works of the Solution Government, further silenced the opposition, and also set a standard and model for other southeastern states and even the country at large. According to him, Anambra has become a reference point for good governance, security innovation, and inclusive development.

While noting that SFC is non-political but comprises individuals of like minds from different political parties who are fans of Soludo, Engr. Chukwuemeka recalled that SFC had started identifying with and supporting Soludo since 2009, when he first nursed the ambition (under a different party) to lead the state — because of the visionary leadership qualities they saw in him and his economic brilliance, even then. He also testified that the group and its members had remained true fans of Soludo since then till the present time he has become the Governor, emphasizing that their loyalty and unrelenting support remain with the Governor even after his second tenure and throughout his subsequent political journeys.

He noted that what keeps the movement alive is not just politics, but belief — a deep-seated conviction that Soludo embodies the solution Ndi Anambra have always yearned for. “His is not a government of promises, but of proof,” he emphasized.

The SFC Convener went on to recount the group’s grassroots engagements in propagating the Governor’s achievements, noting that SFC has stood out over the years as a strategic platform for mobilizing support and spreading awareness of Soludo’s transformation agenda, judging by its numerical strength and state-wide spread, down to the local and ward levels. He said the group is not only loud online, but loudest in the hearts and homes of everyday Anambrarians.

Ahead of the proposed November 8 governorship election in the state, Engr. Chukwuemeka assured that SFC is mobilizing at every level to secure a landslide victory for the Governor, which he said is already a sure bet. He expressed optimism that the Governor’s good works in his first tenure have already paved the way for his reelection and earned him the continued support from the people of Ndị Anambra, who, according to him, are now more politically discerning and development-driven than ever before.

“We are proud fans of Soludo’s vision and will continue to take this message of transformation to every doorstep,” he declared, drawing a resounding cheer from the enthusiastic crowd.

Earlier in their separate remarks, the Coordinator of the All Soludo Support Group (ASSG), Mr. Chinedu Nwoye; the National Convener of the Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo (YESS), Dr. Nelson Omenugha; among other group leaders, who revealed that the groups are self-funded and their support to Governor’s re-election,aà extolled and reassured their solidarity with the Governor to fulfill his manifesto and realize his vision of making Anambra a livable and prosperous homeland.

They applauded Soludo’s prudence, intellect, and courage in tackling complex issues ranging from security to infrastructural deficit and youth empowerment, insisting that he has done in two years what others could not do in eight. They hailed his digital governance initiative, his revolutionary reforms in education, and the ongoing urban regeneration projects across the state, including the ambitious Anambra Smart Mega City drive.

While attesting that Anambra is on the progressive rise under Soludo, the conveners unanimously emphasized that they did not make a mistake by voting and supporting the Governor in his first term in office, and would do it again come November. They described the rally as not just a show of support, but a declaration of readiness to continue championing the Solution Movement until the vision is fully realized.

In a symbolic yet powerful show of commitment, the groups, presented the sum of N30 million to the Governor’s re-election campaign — a gesture that left no doubt about their readiness to back their words with action.

With the thunderous echo of “Solution Is Here!” reverberating through the air, it became obvious that this was not just another political rally, but a powerful civic affirmation — a people’s endorsement anchored on proven performance and visionary leadership. And as the sun set over the vibrant city of Awka, one thing was unmistakably clear: the Solution movement is not only alive but blazing stronger than ever, and come November 8, Soludo is destined to ride on the wings of the people’s mandate — again.

Responding after receiving the donation, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo expressed heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from over 60 different groups under the All Soludo Support Groups (ASSG), who gathered in their numbers to endorse him for a second term and also presented him with a donation of thirty million naira. Addressing the crowd of more than 120,000 enthusiastic supporters at the International Conference Centre, Awka, the visibly moved Governor described the endorsement as unprecedented in the political history of Anambra, and a strong validation of the transformational leadership and developmental milestones his administration has achieved thus far.

Governor Soludo noted that the overwhelming support from all 21 local government areas of the state proves that good governance and sincere service naturally attract political goodwill. He confidently declared that opposition contenders were merely jostling for attention, as most political parties lacked credible candidates, and their structures had collapsed into APGA. He affirmed that the widespread unity across civil society groups, the Church, traditional rulers, women, youth, and professionals pointed to a historic moment for Anambra, heralding what he described as the state’s first true consensus election.

Recounting the humble beginnings of his administration, Governor Soludo grew emotional while acknowledging the organic and sacrificial efforts of individuals and support groups—ranging from students to women traders—who contributed from their meagre earnings to support his re-election bid. He assured the people that their faith in him would not be betrayed, and pledged to continue upholding the “One State, One People, One Agenda” vision. He promised to redouble efforts towards delivering more people-centered projects and consolidating on the current achievements, as he marches into the election with renewed zeal and unshaken commitment to the progress of Anambra State.
