Soludo Celebrates Bishop Ezeokafor at 74, Describes Him as Moral Voice in Anambra

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has felicitated the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, on his 74th birthday, describing him as a respected spiritual leader and moral voice whose service has impacted the state and beyond.

Soludo, in a birthday message, praised Ezeokafor for dedicating decades of his life to the service of God and humanity, noting that the Bishop’s priestly journey had been marked by commitment, wisdom and service.

The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, saying Soludo acknowledged the Bishop’s long years of service to the Catholic Church and the wider society.

Ezeokafor was ordained a Catholic priest in 1984 and later served as Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese between 2007 and 2011 before assuming leadership of the Diocese as Bishop.

According to the statement, Soludo described the cleric as a consistent advocate for peace, unity and development, whose leadership has continued to contribute to the growth of the faith community and society in Anambra.

The Governor also regarded the Bishop’s 74th birthday as an opportunity to celebrate his life of service and expressed appreciation for the contributions he has made over the years.

Soludo wished Ezeokafor a joyful birthday celebration and prayed for continued good health, strength, wisdom and divine grace for many more years of service to God and humanity.

He also expressed hope that the Bishop would continue to make meaningful contributions to the Church and society as he advances in age.
