The Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, has commended the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for his remarkable developmental strides, noting that the state has witnessed unprecedented progress across multiple sectors within just three years of his administration.
Speaking in an interview with reporters, Chief Chukwuma highlighted the transformational impact of Governor Soludo’s policies and initiatives, particularly in the areas of education, infrastructure, security, and economic development. He noted that the employment of over 8,000 teachers, the introduction of free education, and the government’s commitment to human capital development through the “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative have significantly improved the state’s educational landscape and youth empowerment programs.
Chief Chukwuma further praised the Soludo-led administration for its bold investments in road infrastructure, which have enhanced connectivity across the state, as well as in the health sector, where the construction of general hospitals, the introduction of telemedicine, and free delivery services for pregnant women have revolutionized healthcare accessibility for Ndi Anambra.
including the rehabilitation of water schemes across the state after 20 years of moribundity, the expansion of electrification and streetlighting projects, as well as the promotion of renewable energy solutions, which significantly reduced the cost of governance and the problem of climate change.
He also acknowledged the government’s efforts in rehabilitation of water schemes across the state after 20 years of moribundity, the expansion of streetlighting projects, agriculture, urban and rural development, and environmental sustainability, describing Governor Soludo as a visionary leader who remains prudent in managing the state’s resources for maximum impact.
Emphasizing that Ndi Anambra are feeling the direct benefits of their tax contributions through these numerous developments, Chief Chukwuma reaffirmed the people’s support for the governor, urging him to sustain the momentum in order to achieve even greater progress.
While congratulating Governor Soludo on his three successful years in office; the Innoson Motors CEO also took the opportunity to appreciate him for being the first Anambra governor to officially adopt Innoson vehicles as his official cars. He, however, expressed concern over the reluctance and refusal of some commissioners and government appointees to follow suit, lamenting that many of them still opt for foreign-made vehicles despite the availability of high-quality, locally manufactured alternatives in the state.
According to him, such attitudes are not only discouraging to indigenous automobile manufacturers but also contradict the administration’s broader vision of economic self-sufficiency and industrial growth. He urged Governor Soludo to take deliberate steps to promote the patronage of locally manufactured vehicles within his government, stressing that increased support for indigenous automobile companies would strengthen the state’s economy, create more jobs, and encourage further investments in local manufacturing.
He further emphasized that prioritizing Nigerian-made vehicles in government fleets would not only reinforce confidence in local industries but also set a powerful example for private sector players and the general public. According to him, boosting patronage for indigenous car manufacturers aligns with Governor Soludo’s broader agenda of promoting homegrown solutions and fostering economic prosperity within Anambra State and beyond.
Chief Chukwuma concluded by reiterating that Governor Soludo’s impressive achievements across various sectors have positioned Anambra as a model state for progressive governance. However, he noted that solidifying the state’s industrial base through sustained patronage of indigenous businesses would be a significant addition to the governor’s legacy, ensuring long-term economic benefits for Ndi Anambra.
