Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has disclosed the outcome of his recent visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, describing the engagement as warm, symbolic, and positively reassuring for the future of the state and the nation.
The courtesy visit, which took place on Thursday, was announced in a press release issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, who stated that the President received Governor Soludo with visible delight, reflecting the longstanding personal relationship between both leaders which spans over two decades.
It was further gathered that during the visit, President Tinubu once again congratulated Governor Soludo on his overwhelming victory in the recently concluded Anambra State governorship election, where a wide margin of victory was recorded by the Governor who secured about 73 percent of the total votes cast.
Governor Soludo, who later confirmed the visit through a post on his social media handle, expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded him by the President and described the renewed congratulations as an affirmation of the confidence reposed in his administration by both the Federal Government and the people of Anambra State.
He noted that the President acknowledged the election outcome as a powerful endorsement of the shared vision of building a livable, prosperous, and development-driven Anambra State, driven by people-centered governance and sustainable reforms.
The Governor further expressed gratitude to the President for his consistent goodwill towards Anambra State and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working within the framework of national unity, cooperation, and collective progress.
He emphasized that Anambra remains fully committed to the Nigerian project and that through mutual collaboration between the Federal Government and the states, meaningful national development can be achieved.
