The date and activities for the burial of prominent Anambra industrialist and Founder of the Cutix Plc., Engr. Gilbert Obiajulu Uzodike, OON, have been announced.
The announcement, made over the week, was contained in a noticed signed and issued by the Board and Management of the Cutix Plc., makers of Cutix Cables and Wires.
This is coming barely four months after the demise of the Nnewi-born industrialist, who died on June 7, 2024, at the age of 75 years.
According to the notice, the burial activities would commence with a vigil mass at the Late Engr. Gilbert Obiajulu Uzodike’s Compound, Ndiogbe Otolo Nnewi, slated for Thursday, October 3, 2024.
The notice further added that the funeral mass would hold on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the St. James Catholic Church, Igwe Orizu Rd., Ndiogbe Otolo, Nnewi (beginning at 10 AM), followed by interment and other funeral activities at his compound.
It added that, while condolence visits continue on Saturday, the burial activities will be capped up by a 10 AM thanksgiving mass at the St. James Catholic Church, Nnewi on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Until his death, Chief Uzodike, a business mogul and philanthropist, was revered to be one of the most successful Igbo businessmen, who distinguished himself in the manufacturing sector.
His brand, the Cutix Cables, founded in 1981, is known for manufacturing and marketing electrical, automobile, and telecommunication wires, cables, and related products, as well as production of aluminum twist cables, armoured cables, bare aluminum conductor, flexible or auto cables, and regular cables.
